Dr. Benjamin Conner
Dr. Benjamin Conner is an MD/PhD candidate at the University of Arizona, combining his medical training with translational science to address mobility challenges in individuals with cerebral palsy. His primary research, supervised by Dr. Zachary Lerner, explores the efficacy of resistive robotic gait training for enhancing neuromuscular control, with the goal of creating advanced therapeutic tools for motor impairments.
With a Master’s in Biomechanics and Movement Science from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor’s in Biological Anthropology from Penn State, Dr. Conner’s work is supported by NIH funding, underscoring the translational impact of his research. His broader interests include biomechanics, adaptive devices, and improving quality of life through innovative therapeutic technologies.
